The Bedtime Dance

This weeks Vlog Talk prompt spoke to me!

It said “hey! Tell the world what annoys you about your child!”

So I said, I’ll do it!

And then I felt guilty because that’s what moms do. We feel guilty for having feelings other than absolute love and adoration for our offspring.

But…

That didn’t stop me from uploading it.

Believe it or not, that actually resembles our nightly routine with Buddy. I lay down with him while he drives cars over me, sits on my head, hugs me, kisses me, “taps” me on the head with a rubber duck and then finally gives up and spoons with me and falls asleep.

Happy to know that we are not alone when it comes to crazy bedtime routines!

Oh honey, that was exactly how it played out in my house for a LONG time (minus the daddy as it was just me doing the bedtime).

He would throw himself on me (the baby, not the daddy) and try get comfortable. Or he’d want to play. Or have me sing. Or tickle him. It’d go on for 45 minutes before he decided to flop on my chest and lie there for an hour until I couldn’t stand it anymore from the heat radiating from my backside, lying in one spot, unmoving for so long.

Then daddy stepped in and started putting him to bed minus me. And….. he’d just go to sleep. What???

My hubs doesn’t have the patience to put her down.
We’ve tried having him do it and it plays out with the both of them playing until 11pm
      they’re too much alike
