Black Friday Fun

This weekend I crossed the border and took part in Black Friday.

My best friend and I left at 2am and marathon shopped for 12 hours.

It was awesome; here’s why!

1. These two flags flying beside each other was the perfect welcome!

2. After waking up at 2am, driving for 2 hours, crossing the border, and hitting mad traffic we looked like hell but were ready to hit the stores!

3. Heaven… all in one spot. *sigh*

4. Sales, sales, sales! Every where we turned. Stores we don’t have in Canada and prices that even our best attempts at Black Friday deals couldn’t touch!

4.Β  Someone always gets pinched on Black Friday.

5. A Little HO HO HOE!

Β It was a successful shopping day and so much fun! Can’t wait until next year!

It wasn’t that busy.. not super crazy like on T.V.
We weren’t in a really busy city so it was pretty calm. Whew!

I’m glad you had so much fun shopping on Black Friday. I’ve never ventured out but a lot of my family members do. As much as I love shopping and saving money, I’m convinced I’ll get too caught up in the excitement and end up in a fist fight with someone over the last of something I probably don’t even need! I’d be the one getting pinched πŸ˜‰

PS…I was also stopping by to let you know, I’ve given you The Sunshine Award. Stop by and check out my post for the details. Congrats!

      I got AWESOME deals!
Canada really can’t beat them, no matter how hard they are trying right now.
I love my country but for sales they kind of suck.

This is adorable. Just shows how much we take Black Friday for granted. Also you two look so good for 2AM raisers! Thank you for being a part of my impromptu “baby shower”.

I guess someone who doesn’t have boxing day sales would take them for granted too… like we do. I don’t go out on that day.
      I loved Black Friday!

I wish we had a Target in Canada! Or at least their online store delivered to Canada — because picking out a whole whack of on sale items, only to discover upon checkout they don’t deliver outside of USA – -that’s not a time waster at all!

glad you met with success! did you buy the ho-ho outfit? LOL

I wish we did too, then I wouldn’t have to cross the border for all of the great sales!
BUT the deals were amazing and they have a Khols too!

Ah, such a lovely tradition. I confess I’ve only braved it a couple times courtesy of my in-laws established tradition. The first time, my now-hubby and I were only dating. I came out with my hair curled and make-up on at about 4AM much to the chagrin of his dad and sister. I’ve learned since then that Black Friday is not a time for vanity, but I still get razzed about it every year! Glad you had fun πŸ™‚

    You are one brave soul.

And I love how you call it “crossing the border.” I was all, “Ooh! The canuck went all the way to Mexico to shop?”

And then I was all, “Oh, yeah. *that* border. Duh.”

    But still…impressive. πŸ™‚
