11 Questions

I love it when a the bloggers form of a chain letter goes around the interwebs.

Only if you don’t do it there won’t be a poor girl half way around the world who’s hair is going to fall out at the very moment you pass up the tag.

This type of chain gives me a chance to talk about myself!

Yes please.

And allows me to get to know all of the writers I love to read as well!

It’s called 11 Questions and I was “tagged” in it by two bloggers at two different times.

Both Robin from Farewell Stranger and Ado from The Momalog tasked me with answering 11 of their questions.

Well, I don’t follow rules well, so I chose from both of their posts, mushed everything together, and made 11 questions of my own.

1. What’s your superpower?

I wish I could answer this with humour, but I really do have a superpower.
Okay, now you all think I’m being funny and I’m going to say I can fly or I can shoot fire out of my nose (which would be really awesome). I take my superpower seriously and it took me a long time to realize that I had one.
Again.. You’re thinking I’m being funny. (read: nose and fire)
I’m not.
I can read people very well. I have very good intuition and am usually always right. This took a long time for me to realize and I would ignore how I felt about someone or something, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it would always turn out the way I thought.
I now trust my feeling.

2. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?

Wait… My name wouldn’t be Easy Karen… It would be Karen.

3. Do you consider yourself a “blogger” or a “writer”?

When I first started blogging I was a “blogger” with a blog. Now that I rely on my words for comfort and I see my writing as something I NEED to do, just as a singer needs to sing, or a traveller needs to travel, I know I am a writer.

4. Are you shy?

I have never ever been described as shy and have never identified with that description. I am becoming more introvert as I age, but still not shy.

5. What’s your biggest source of inspiration (other than your family, etc.)?

I’m glad that the question made sure to say “other than family” because although family is certainly one of my main sources it isn’t my only one. I get most of my inspiration from within myself. My determination comes from the passion I feel to make change. I am driven to see results in the world while I am here and that inspires me. When I see others with this same passion I am even more inspired.

6. What do you hope to do this year that you’re really excited about?

I’m goin’ to the Chapel and I’m gonna get maaaaarrriieeeddd.

7. What’s your dream?

Other than seeing my daughter (and any other future children) grow up healthy and happy, it is to evoke change. To see my hard work through advocacy and awareness make a difference.

8. Ever had a scary parenting moment?

One evening when my daughter was still an infant I was taking her up to bed and had forgotten that we had put the barrier up at the bottom of the stairs in case she had rolled over that way. As I headed to the doorway I tripped and fell with her in my arms hitting the stairs with my knees, face, and elbows. She hit her head and woke up in shock.
She was okay because I cushioned most of her fall and luckily Brian was there to take her from me and help us up.

9. Something besides your children that you are proud of.

I’m proud of my education, my training, and my career. I have worked hard to get to where I am and it took a long time.

10. Ask your kids what they like about you and what bugs them about you and write it verbatim here.

(my daughter is 22 months) What do you like about Mommy?: “:peek-a-boo mommy, daddy.”

What bugs you about Mommy? “a bee, a ladybug, okay?”

11. Do you have any advice for Snooki? (-:

Wear underwear that covers your bum if you’re going to dress in skirts that don’t.

And NOW…..

The rules:

You must post these rules.
Each person must post 11 things about herself on his/her blog.
Answer the questions the “tagger” listed for you in her post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
You must choose 11 people to tag and link to them in the post.
Go to each blogger’s page and mention that you have tagged him/her.

So here are the bloggers who are up next!

I would die for your super power. I am terrible at reading people. Of course, this got me into more trouble when I was younger than it does now, but still, it’d be nice to have!

After we picked out all of the ingredients we realized we were paying triple for the cupcakes by baking them!!
      Experience shmerience.
