Is It COLD in Here?

Whilst out shopping with my family I began to notice a trend among the mannequins.

No, not that they were all a size 2 with double D breasts and should have back problems and arthritic knees.

I noticed how badly they needed a sweater.

Or band aids.

My reaction?

“Rock hard abs, just like me! Right hun?”

“Look at the headlights on that thing! It must be FREEZING in here, eh?”

“What size do you think those things are? The boobs not the nipples!”

“How many crunches do you think she does a day? Do you think she eats a low carb diet?”

His reaction?

“Huh?”

“They almost looks real.”

“Huh?”

“Wonder if they sell the mannequin.”

“OW! I was kidding!”

Guys? I’m over at Coffee Lovin’ Mom’s today! Come and visit me!

I’ll pour you a coffee (that I stole from Amy’s cupboard).

See you there!

What image are we sending young children and teenagers! Especially the teens! They are going to see this and think its socially exceptable to wear no bra and starve themselfs for that body! I’m do glad that I would use this as a teaching tool with my 6 & 8 year old and make it clear how this is no ok! I’m so glad I teach my kids to embrase and love there body’s and shape the way it is! I can’t wait to see this out shopping so I can personally let managers know how disgusting it is and I will for sure email the companies!!!!!

Here’s a funny story about nips. An old boss of mine had breast cancer, and chose a single mastectomy. The rebuilt breast will get a rebuilt “nip” – so one will perpetually be stickin out. The other? has to wait for a cold breeze to show it’s pride.

why why why WHY Do they insist on adding plastic nipples? What function do they have? So you can see what your own nipple would look like in that sports bra? I do not get it.

I’ve never noticed nipples on a mannequin before (though you really couldn’t miss those). Now I’m going to have to pay attention.
