There’s a Reason

If every person ran away when they were faced with a challenge then there would never be change.

Women would never have been able to vote.

Every head would still turn blindly away… because what happens behind closed doors stays there.

Racism and homophobia would still be acceptable.

Harassment, sexism, ageism, mind your own business, and close the blinds would continue without a thought.

We would not have forward thinking leaders, curious scientists, and thought-provoking dialect.

There are reasons for rules.

And there are reasons for process.

Challenge them.

Ask questions. Ask why.

And if you don’t agree?

Make a wave!

Speak up and speak out.

Cause someone who isn’t strong or loud enough is counting on you.

That’s my empowering voice… I wasn’t calling you a ho, unless you’re cool with that.
Then it would be more like:
But then I’d just sound like Santa.

    I’m in a weird mood.

This is so awesome. Thank you for inspiring me. I have two little girls who look to me as an example. I want them to feel comfortable expressing their own opinions.
