Gardening Time

We have finally reached gardening time here in my little spot in Ontario… however, it’s still a little cold some days, the breeze can be a bit chilly, and I’m currently wearing a sweater.

Canada.

I’m lucky to have a husband who is self sufficiant, looks for things he can do on his own with the materials we have around the yard, and is highly motivated.

Last year he put in our stone path, this year he extended our driveway, and now he’s working on a fire pit/patio so we can entertain outdoors this summer.

He tends to the gardens, digs in the dirt, moves the plants around, and loves him some roses.

I would be happy with perenials that looked after themselves all year.

The less weeding I have to do the happier I am.

So this summer is already gearing up to be a busy one with projects, like our stone patio, and a patio door we want to install, opening our pool, and enjoying our blossoming yard thanks to the man who takes care of it all.

What would we do without him?

Probably live in a feild of thistles and dandilions.

Wearing rubber boots everytime we went outside for fear of the weeds biting out legs.

He’s the green thumb who married the woman who kills a plant just by looking at it but he’s managed to turn out property into something beautiful.

Just goes to show what a little patience, seeds, and love can do.

xx
