Is it January yet?

This week we’ve been getting reports of our little miss not listening in class or at her after school program.

At first I was all NO SHE DI’INT.

And then I had a look around at the stores, the snow, the decorations, the tree in our living room, the Elf on the shelf, and remembered that she’s 4 and a tad bit excited about the HAPPIEST TIME OF THE YEAR!

But I also want to work with her teachers and assist where possible so I wrote a little note, made a little noise, got down with that planner and made sure they knew I was on board with opening those tiny listening ears.

Upon discussion with said little miss she reflected as only a four-year old can.

Me: I’ve heard you’re having difficulty listening not only in class but during the after school program, lets chat about that.

Her: How many days until Santa comes.

I am extremely excited about the holidays, sharing this time with her, seeing her wonder and excitement over this time of year, but I have to say… I can’t wait until January.

Great post. I can relate. However I hadn’t thought it was the excitement of the season. Such a great pic of her and Santa:) Here’s hoping the holidays go well and our little ones enjoy the time off!!
