We are a week and a half away from that time of year.
Back to school!
Can I get an Amen?!
My child doesn’t even stay home and I’m all “LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!”
I’m also the crazy woman in the stationary aisle sniffing the new books and hoarding all of the sharpies.
This is my time of year, people!
The smell of plastic and markers gets me overly excited and I start throwing things into the cart that we’ll never use.
You get a backpack and you get a backpack and you get a backpack!
It’s around this time of year where all the crafts that were planned at the beginning of the summer, the well-meaning play dates, and the trips to the splash pad taper off and you stare at the clock counting down the minutes until bedtime. In the background are cries of “I’m bored,” “I want something to eat,” “she hit me in the face,” and you close your eyes and pray.
Netflix has heard your prayers and they are bringing you new shows to occupy those cries of boredom until that heavenly yellow bus pulls up at the end of your driveway.
Shows that will encourage, talk about confidence, problem solving, and are just plain fun.
Grab some snacks, snuggle in, and enjoy the last week. You’re almost there.
