The Nonsense Show

We have always actively read with our daughter, we love sharing stories with her, watching her get caught up in the characters and the pages of the book, and showing her a world of imagination and possibility that only books can provide.

Early on we quickly collected and grew fond of Eric Carle and his cast of characters. From Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See? to The Very Hungry Caterpillar our daughter loved to pour over the pages of his brightly covered illustrated stories and learn about animals, colours, and numbers.

His board books made it possible for her to handle the books as much as she wanted and his stories were interesting and educational.

He became a family favourite and we were happy to add to the collection his newest book, The Nonsense Show.

This book is the same brilliant story line that you’ve come to expect from Eric Carle with the same beautiful art work better on every page.

My daughter loved the silliness of this book and the “Nonsense” of it but it also made her ask questions and got us talking.

“What if there really was a snake with two heads?”

We laughed at the craziness that happened page after page and my daughter couldn’t get enough.

The Nonsense Show has taken the top of the pile at our house and I bet it will yours too.

This looks fantastic! My favorite is probably Harry the Dirty Dog. I remember reading it as a child, and recently read it to my girls. It’s timeless, just like Eric Carle!
