Looking for Gloom and Doom?? Netflix has you Covered!

My daughter is at a weird age right now. She loves cartoons but also is kind of getting into the tween shows that make you want to stab yourself in the eye at first, but once you watch a few you realize you’re dedicated to the characters and want to watch even when your child isn’t around.

Not me though… I’ve never watched an entire season of Some Assembly Required without my daughter around.

Ahem

We are enjoying the new “tween” releases and have recently indulged in the entire season of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

At first I wasn’t sure my daughter would like the dark humour or gloomy undertones of the series, however; after begging her to watch with me a couple of times she was invested.

We were hooked on what would happen to Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire during their journey to finding a suitable place to live after a horrific accident leaves them without parents (or did it?).

The ups and downs, twists and turns, and incredible mystery kept us hooked.

We can’t wait for more!

Until the next season of A Series of Unfortunate Events, my daughter has moved on to a few other new releases that she’s enjoying:

And remember, Netflix has an awesome new download feature!

We have downloaded many series’ and movies and then been able to watch them while traveling. It has been incredibly helpful and enjoyable on long trips.

Don’t forget to let me know what shows you are watching! We are always looking for new ideas!
