All I Want for Christmas is to Binge Watch Netflix

Ever since Netflix entered my life so has binge watching.

I used to be opposed to the idea of sitting through entire seasons of shows. I wanted to save a couple for each night of the week with the sweet anticipation of what was to come.

Bundle up in a blanket, tuck my feet in warmly, and ready myself for the next piece of mystery that would unfold.

The characters, all now friends of mine.

But, since then diving head first into complete series’ I find myself ignoring chores, conversations, hygiene, food, bathroom breaks, and sunlight in favour of “one more episode.”

What will my “friends” do next? Could this be it? I don’t want it to end! If it ends, then what will I do? Will I have to unstick myself from this couch?

Most recently I’ve been binge watching, The Crown.

I was already obsessed with the Royal family so adding a Netflix series dedicated to the rise of Queen Elizabeth probably did me no favours.

Or them.

This series follows The Queen, her husband, Prince Phillip, and her family throughout the early years of her reign (so far), and what occurs behind closed doors.

The Elizabeth we would have never seen or known.

It is captivating.

And, it is heartbreaking.

It also led me to a couple of lists. Reason’s why I would both want to be Royalty and not want to be Royalty.

Reasons I WOULD be Royalty

I adore the accent

I like to dress up all the time

Jewels… always

I appreciate people cooking and cleaning for me

Chauffeur’s

Fresh flowers in every room

All the parties and the dances

Being privy to all of the closed-door meetings

Big beds

Big windows

Vacations

Reasons I WOULD NOT be Royalty

I would not want people kissing my hands

Too much bowing

Too much holding my legs together when I sit

Too many high heels

Way too many people up in my castle

Fake smiles

I look terrible in a hat

Requiring permission to marry

I would help the help

Someone dressing me seems ridiculous

No Swearing

I think it’s safe to say that at this point in my life I will not be Royalty any time, however; in my home I am always The Queen.

*wink.

Don’t forget, this New Years, Netflix has all your littles in mind with their New Years Eve Countdown.

With nine countdowns to choose from your children will be thrilled to get festive and have fun along with their favourite characters.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

I am a Netflix affiliate, however; all opinions are my own.
